Many people can not read plans and immediately visualize what hind of changes are being proposed at various scales. By exploring the 3D model, citizens were able to interact with parcels under consideration.

Visualizing Corridor Improvements
The goal of this project was to develop a Concept Plan, Design Criteria, and Strategies for redevelopment within a 1/2 mile radius of the Hazel Crest Metra Station. The plan, developed by Teska Associates, addressed circulation, parking and pedestrian access, physical improvements, redevelopment, and commuter parking opportunities.
This transit-oriented development plan and redevelopment strategy was the perfect opportunity to utilize a combination of interactive 3D graphics and streetscape visualization in community meetings and as a component to the plan document.
The outcome: citizens were able to immediately recognize the corridor and understand the proposed changes. As a result, the community responded enthusiastically with inquiries about land use, facade rehabilitation, and streetscape improvements.
